Honda Thailand to Destroy 1400 flood-Damaged Cars

Honda Thailand will begin demolition  of 1,400 flood-damaged cars including the Brio and City next week. The company recently declared that the automaker will be demolishing 1,400 damaged cars because of the Thailand floods earlier this year.

It has two plants in Ayutthaya, Thailand which got affected and all these 1,400 cars which were placed in the factory were submerged for long time, resulting some serious issues . These flood damaged cars were mostly the City sedan and Brio hatchback.

Honda Thailand to Destroy 1400 flood-Damaged CarsIt was speculated that the company would fix those flood damaged cars and launch them in the international or local market as brand new, seeding worry and fear in the minds of consumers. However, Honda Automobile (Thailand) yesterday recommended buyers to rest assured, saying all these 1,400 cars will be destroyed.

Senior company executive said that the company would never repair those damaged cars and then sell them as brand new models or even donate them to any organization to avoid them from entering the wide auto market. This move would tarnish the reputation of the company. The company is trying hard to maintain their high position in the auto industry.

However, some car parts which remain damage free will are collected and stored for future production. Next Tuesday, the automaker commence the demolition process soon at its assembly plant which is located in the Rojana Industrial Estate in Thailand, and this automobile manufacturer said that the demolish will be carry away in an environment friendly way.
