Bentley Continental GT V8 Flies Through Skies of Munich
News | February 14, 2012Bentley introduced the Continental GT V8 in Munich, picking up its prestigious coupe with Skycrane helicopter and dropping it off at SkyLounge, the exclusive space for shows, which is balanced between two buildings in the downtown city. Mr. Klaus Becker, General Manager at Bentley Munich stated that this dramatic vehicle got debut they felt it deserved and took slightly bit of their inspiration from the iconic Winged B logo of the company. The all-new Continental GT V8 was launched at NAIAS in the month of January, where Bentley showcased its 4.0 liter V8 twin turbocharged engine, which provides 40% superior fuel economy as compared to W12 engine.

The Continental GT V8’s powerplant is small but is good for churning out 500 horsepower with 487 pound feet of torque. The tried and true W12 6.0 liter engine generates impressive 567 horsepower with earth-shaking 516 pound feet of torque. The engine is teamed up with eight-speed automatic transmission of the company. It offers dark mesh radiator grille ringed by bright metal; aggressive lower bumper with three air intakes and dark rear valance with dual exhaust tailpipes shaped into elongated, side-on figure eight. From unique rearseat of eight cylinders at idling speed to glorious snarl of full-throttle acceleration, the all-new V8 engine provides involving, passionate and exhilarating route to Bentley Continental ownership. Eight-speed transmission and All-wheel drive system transmits power to road with unshakable precision.
