2013 BMW X5 Spied

The all-new 2013 BMW X5 spied in testing for the first time, a sport utility vehicle, which is hesitantly being introduced in the year 2013 and will be third of four sport utility vehicles, the company will be replacing, launching and refreshing before 2014. Beneath the skin, it will share its underpinnings with BMW X3, one of the successful models in United Kingdom, since its introduction last year. It will be equipped with wider tracks and longer wheelbase, but will attain just two rows of seats. The new X5 will retain its dual wishbone front and rear multi link suspension of X3.

One of the largest changes in 2013 BMW X5 is the new four-cylinder diesel engine, which will provide the BMW a rival for soon to be introduced and sire to be famous, Mercedes Benz ML250 CDI. The X5 is potentially badged as X5xDrive25d is expected to be equipped with twin turbocharged 2.0 liter diesel engine of BMW, which is good for churning out 204 horsepower with enhanced torque output for compensating for the additional weight and size of X5. Somewhere else, the engine lineup will comprise of upgraded versions of present six-cylinder diesel and petrol powerplants with revised V8 petrol engines primarily aimed at Chinese, Middle Eastern and North American markets.

The launch of 2013 BMW X5 will be preceded in the year 2012 by facelift for notorious X6 coupe-Sport Utility Vehicle and followed in 2014 by BMW’s new X3-based and X6-inspired, X4 Sport Utility Vehicle. All models will be designed and developed at Spartanburg, South Carolina facility of BMW for providing even greater economies of scale as compared to before.
