Nissan is prominent name in the US market for the best selling Frontier Midsize and Compact pickup trucks. The payload, hauling and towing capacity of the Nissan Frontier is excellent that stands uniquely after the Toyota Tacoma pickup trucks. For the 2011, the Frontier has received minor changes that include reshuffling of few features, renamed trim levels and improved towing and hauling functions.

The middle of road SE, upscale LE and entry level XE trims are now renamed to SV, S and SL respectively. The PRO-4X off road features in kept unchanged. The Premium utility package comes with optioned SV Frontier and the optional Luxury Package is upgraded with PRO-4X. The bed rail caps and vehicle immobilizer are kept standard on SL, PRO- 4X and SV models.

The 2011 Nissan Frontier is available in Crew cab body and extended cab (King Cab) with either 4×4 or 4×2 drivetrain. On the exteriors the Frontier is paint with electrifying Navy Blue color for the SV pickup trucks. The exteriors features for the Frontier includes intimidating wheel flares that are muscular, tough PRO-4X appearance package, off road worthy departure or approach angles, adjustable spray on bedliner for the V6 models, locking tailgate and factory spray on bedliner for the V6 models.

The interiors of the 2011 Nissan Frontier is finally changed from the 2009 model. It includes the features such as red stitched leather cover on steering wheel, white faced gauges and manual gearshift knob. The unique interiors for the PRO-X are kept for customizing seating arrangements. The new looks for the V6 models on the center stack and SL models gain new fabric seats. A Rockford Fostgate Premium audio system and leather seating are accessible to crew cab models. All trim models are comfortable and supportive front bucket seats; legroom space is extensive and upgraded seat fabric options. Besides these it also includes easy to read gauges, removable seats for storage area in King Cab and 12 volt outlets with two glove boxes.

The base engine is powered with 2.5 L, dual camshaft overhead with four inline cylinder that delivers 152 hp and torque level of 171 lb-ft cranks at manual transmission speed with five. The 4.0 L with V6 that delivers 261 hp and torque level of 281 lb-ft. The electronic controlled, part time transfer case and shift on fly are the additional options for the car model. The safety equipments are kept standard and are same from the predecessor model. Overall the 2011 Nissan Frontier is well equipped with towing, payload and hauling capacities for heavy industrial purposes.
