The latest Ford Edge Review tells that latest 2011 Ford Edge one the best and solid entries for the year 2010 in the mid size crossover category. It has been a good year for officials at Ford that has bought out this SUV car with quiet cabin, spacious rooms, sync system options, comfortable drive and lots of other standard safety options. The Ford lovers could be a little disappointed looking over at the exterior features of the machine because the machine carries just few changes as compared to its earlier trim level version. The new Ford Edge is a five passenger crossover SUV vehicle that is available in four trim level versions of the SE trim, the SEL trim, the Limited trim and the Sport trim version. The SE trim comes with the standard options of full power accessories, 17 inch alloy wheels, cruise control, blind spot mirrors, tilt and telescoping steering wheel options, reclining backsets, air conditioning, keyless entry, four speaker stereo with CD/MP3 options, etc.

During our Ford Edge Review we came to know that the new 2010 Ford Edge’s convenience package offers convenience features like that of automatic headlights, auto-dimming mirror, rear parking sensors, keyless entry keypad and steering wheel audio controls. The SEL trim includes all the options of the convenience package that includes options like fog lamps, trunk mounted second row folding seat release, six way power driver seat, 18 inch alloy wheels, upgraded interior trim, satellite radio, trip computer, in dash six CD changer, upgraded cloth leather upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheels and other options. The optional features of the machine in the SE and SEL trims include features like MP3 players and Ford’s Sync electronics interface options. The leather comfort package includes features like heated front seats, power passenger seats, and dual zone climate control and varied other features of the machine.


The Edge sports comes with standard equipment options like ambient interior lighting, 20 inch chrome clad wheels, Alcantra faux suede upholstery, better tires, different front and rear fascias features. The sport premium package comes with all the options of the leather comfort package that includes the equipment of driver memory functions, power liftgate and heated mirrors. The different options available in the machine include 22 inch wheels that comes with unique suspension tune. The Edge limited trim version comes with all the features of the leather comfort package, the SEL trim and Sport premium package equipment. The limited options include the option of interior appearance package and 20-inch wheels options. The stand along options included in the limited, sports and SEL trims includes features like power liftgate, rear seat DVD entertainment system, panoramic sunroof, hard drive based navigation system that comes with voice activation controls, remote ignition, DVD audio features, digital music storage and other options of the machine.

The powertrain options of the new 2010 Ford Edge includes 3.5 liter V6 engine that boosts of 265 hp and 250 lb ft of torque options, it consists of six speed automatic transmission options. The machine with standard front wheel drive options, it also includes the option of all wheel drive options. During our safety options test part of our we came to know that the safety features for the vehicle includes blind spot mirrors, full length side curtain airbags, stability control features, front seat side airbags, antilock disc brakes and other features.
